Recognized as a community event treasure for its fine acoustics and is one of the only remaining Fox Theaters with its rare Skouras interior intact. The Fox Theater of Bakersfield epitomizes an era of elegance, romance and big screen entertainment otherwise impossible to experience this side of Hollywood. Opened on Christmas Day 1930, The Fox was one of the last of its kind built in the Gilded Age.
